I ran into Mohammad again and almost didn’t recognize him at first. As you may have noticed, I have already taken his photo a few days ago. By now, he has been processed by the LaGeSo and has found a place to stay. He recently returned to support his friend Massoud with whom he had fled and is currently still waiting in line. In two weeks Mohammad will have his court hearing to determine whether or not he can stay in Germany. Having left behind the uncertain situation around LaGeSo he seems like a different person to me, in a very good way.
